Edward M. Bixler, Managing Partner

Edward M. Bixler is the founder and Managing Partner of BCC. Prior to founding BCC, Mr. Bixler was Executive Vice President of one of the largest investment banking firms in the nation, where he was instrumental in the sale of a large number of middle market companies.

Mr. Bixler's corporate experience includes having served as Vice President of Finance for American Telecom, Corporate Controller and Vice President of Finance and Administration of the US operations of Monier, Ltd., as well as Vice President of Finance for a leading subsidiary of Babcock Wilcox.

Mr. Bixler holds both a B.S./B.A. from Bowling Green State University and an M.B.A. from Ohio University at Akron. He is a CMA (Certified Management Accountant) in California and has successfully completed the CPA (Certified Public Accountant) examination.

He is the author or contributing author of a number of published articles and authoritative works including the Corporate Controller's Handbook.

Michael C. Yi, CPA, Managing Director, BCC Valuation Services LLC

Mr. Yi oversees BCC's valuation practice, with special expertise in mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, "built-in" gains, corporate and partnership dissolutions, Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOP), fairness opinions, solvency opinions, intangible assets, estate, gift and income taxes, business litigation and others.

Mr. Yi was a CPA in public accounting prior to becoming the CFO of a $20 million marketing company. Thereafter, he was an officer of a premier investment management firm specializing in valuing public companies. Prior to joining BCC, he was a manager/principal for a specialist business valuation firm.

Mr. Yi holds an MBA in Business Administration from the Anderson School at UCLA, and is a candidate for the CFA level III exam. He is presently active in several professional and non-profit organizations, including the Association for Investment Management and Research, Los Angeles Society of Financial Analysts, American Institute of CPAs, ESOP Association, California Society of CPAs, and the UCLA Alumni Association.

Michael J. Harden, Vice President

Michael Harden is the Vice President of the Investment Banking group at BCC Capital Partners. He participates in sell-side and buy-side mergers and acquisitions, capital raising activities, ESOP structuring and analysis, as well as assisting in the completion of valuation, fairness and solvency opinion assignments.

Prior to joining BCC, Mr. Harden was a Senior Associate in Credit Suisse First Boston's Mergers & Acquisitions Group, with a focus on clients in both the energy and technology industries. He has completed numerous buy-side and sell-side advisory assignments with transaction sizes ranging from $100 million to $1 billion. Mr. Harden also has experience performing financial audits and as a Business Valuation Associate with both Arthur Andersen and Coopers & Lybrand.

Mr. Harden graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of California Santa Barbara with a B.A. in Business Economics and Accounting. He holds the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), and Series 7 Professional Designations. Additionally, he has completed three of the four courses required for the American Society of Appraisers professional designation.
