Josh Edwards, ASA, Managing Director
Josh Edwards is Managing Director of BCC Valuation Services. Mr. Edwards oversees valuation assignments of public and privately-held businesses, intangible assets, equity instruments for financial and SEC reporting, ESOPs, mergers and acquisitions, fairness, solvency, capital adequacy opinions, 409A/tax planning, restructuring and bankruptcy. He brings to BCC a diverse industry background and strong experience in financial analyses and project execution. Mr. Edwards has performed several hundred business appraisals and has been practicing since 1997.

Prior to joining BCC, Mr. Edwards was with Strategic Equity Group, an investment banking firm specializing in mergers and acquisitions and valuation opinions. At SEG, Mr. Edwards managed the valuation practice and oversaw staff training and development.

Prior to joining SEG, Mr. Edwards was with Brueggeman and Johnson, P.C., a Seattle-based valuation firm There, he was responsible for performing financial modeling and analysis and economic research in connection with the valuation of privately-held businesses. Mr. Edwards also provided economic damage analysis and litigation support in the areas of loss business profits, contract disputes, wrongful termination, and personal injury.

Prior to his work at Brueggeman and Johnson, Mr. Edwards was with Goldman, Sachs & Co. and State Street Bank and Trust Company.

Mr. Edwards holds a Master of Business Administration degree in finance from the University of Washington, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Colgate University. He is an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) in Business Valuation with the American Society of Appraisers and serves as Co-Chair of the ASA-LA Chapter Governing Body’s Business Valuation Discipline. In addition, Mr. Edwards is an active member of The ESOP Association and the Orange Coast Estate Planning Council.
